PEOPLE OF EARTH  a documentary work-in-progress by Jonathan Berman

SYNOPSIS: 

A filmmaker becomes entranced with a remote desert dome, the Integratron.

Designed as a time machine, its inventor dies moments before it can be turned on. 

A bumbled investigation stilL manages to leave clues and leads to a massive reckoning with the unknown.

WORK IN PROGRESS, approximately 72 minutes, 2014, mixed formats.

Bio: Jonathan Berman is a documentary filmmaker who shares  lesser known stories to audiences in the millions. Starting as an editorial assistant in Manhattan in the Big 80's (with a stint as a P.A. on Pee Wee’s Playhouse), he creates films that screen at museums like MOMA, art house theaters like Laemmles,  film festivals including Slamdance, SXSW, Jerusalem, and Munich, and TV broadcasts on PBS, Discovery,the Sundance Channel, the BBC, and ARTE. His documentaries include The Shvitz, My Friend Paul, Commune.  He is an Associate Professor in film and video at Cal State San Marcos in North County San Diego.
